Seasonal Fun at Desert Lake
There are many activities to occupy your family at Desert Lake Family Resort or plan to use the park as your “home base” while you explore the wonders of the Land O’Lakes and Thousand Islands area. Desert Lake offers camping sites and year-round accommodations so you can explore the area in any season. The resort is about a ½ hour drive to Kingston attractions, 1 hour to the Thousand Islands and 2 hours from Ottawa, enabling you to round out your vacation with some local sight-seeing.
Fun in the Spring
The months of May and June usher in the camping and vacation season! Visit us for wildflower viewing and fishing in the spring, or plan your family reunion. Frontenac Provincial Park is closeby for your short or day-long hiking excursions. Contact our office for accomodation with boat rental price packages.

Fun in the Summer
The recreational program at Desert Lake Family Resort will keep you occupied when you are not swimming, fishing or roasting marshmallows! The kids will love a chance to fish for sunfish or try out the ‘Hydrobikes” during their break from school. Take a pontoon boat rental to view the Osprey Nests and Heron Rookery down the Lake.

Fun in the Winter
Desert Lake Family Resort’s Beach House and Waterway Place Inn are cozy and warm in the winter! You will find the fireplace in our Lakeside Event Room waiting for you. On site, ice skating, toboganning, and ice fishing are available, weather permitting. (Pray for snow!). Fish for Northern Pike and Perch off our doorstep, or we would be happy to direct you to neighbouring lakes that harbour Walleye (Pickerel). ATV’s are more popular than ever, and perfect for exploring our backroads or carrying your ice auger and fishing gear.
