Family Reunions
Choosing Desert Lake Family Resort allows your attendees to camp, stay for the weekend or just drop in for the day. Feel free to organize a sand volleyball or horseshoe tournament, or arrange a pontoon boat regatta on Desert Lake. You may also join in on our organized family activities or just entertain yourselves. Perhaps you will organize a pot luck or arrange for our staff to cater your meals so you can relax! Let us help you gaurantee a fun time for all!
Weddings
If you would like a spring or fall country wedding with space for your guests to camp or lodge, please contact Sally at the office for more information. Our picnic area is available for rent to accommodate your wedding tent. Use of an open pavilion dance floor with electricity hookups is included. The clean modern washrooms are adjacent. We can help you arrange your licence from LCBO. For a smaller function (up to 60 guests) you may be interested in our indoor lakeside event room. We have many beautiful wooded and lakeside spots for your photographs or as a backdrop as you say your vows.
Todd Sweeney Memorial Pavilion
The pavilion space can be used by your group subject to availability. It is close to the playground, ball field, horsehoes and shuffleboard court as well as the main washrooms. It has been used as additional space with electricity and dance floor for wedding receptions.
The Lakeside Event Room
Consider the Lakeside Event room for your function for up to 60 people, year round. The room has a lovely gas firestove with seating area, ample tables and chairs, a washroom and coffee nook with sink. Picnic seating and a campfire pit is on the lawn with a lake view. Let your staff unwind while they learn and improve their skills! Consider this room for your indoor youth group sleepover, where they can play games and practice their outdoor skills on site. Frontenac Provincial Park is located just minutes away for your more adventurous hiking activities.
